CANADA'S PROVINCES AND TERRITORIES

  • Nunavut has no Provincial Nominee program.
  • Although the province of Quebec does not have a Provincial Nominee Program, it has its own selection programs and criteria.

Provincial Nominees

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to select their own immigrants.

Each Provincial Nominee Program is tailor-made to the province’s/territory’s specific needs to select candidates who have the skills, education and work experience to effectively contribute to the economy of that province or territory. Selected Candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program must live in the province that nominate them.

Also, each province and territory has its own “streams” which  may target students, business people, skilled workers or semi-skilled workers.
